Recently, I had the opportunity to concept and create some inspired imagery for our new website. These are just a few of my favorite images from that shoot. I wanted to capture her movement to give the imagery a weightless and graceful quality. If you haven’t seen the new site, check it out here. You should also check out more work from the talented photographer, Jon Kownacki. I’ll be sharing more soon!

The Simmons Beautyrest Black Showroom, within the World Marker Center in Las Vegas, is our latest Environmental Design project to come to fruition. Together with our sister company TOJO, Inc., we designed, custom-built, and installed what you see here. The Beautyrest Black brand is the ultimate in luxury and technology; with that in mind, we fabricated this modernistic, cutting-edge space.
Vellum and Photographer Steven Lippman create this stunning black & white campaign for Simmons’ luxury line, Beautyrest Black.
This was one of my favorite projects I have directed here at Vellum. It was a great experience working with Steven; he is always in the moment, and that moment is always changing and being captured beautifully along the way. I look forward to working together again in the future.
Thanks to our wonderful crew, the shoot was flawless…

Ciao for now,
Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written, been really busy here at Vellum working on several projects over the past couple of months.
During a recent shoot for Simmons Beautyrest Black, the Vellum Team, together with Photographer Steven Lippman, worked to create a captivating, black-and-white campaign. I’m going to take you behind the scenes for a peek into my life on location…
I first saw this amazing, modern home while scouting locations for another campaign I was directing for Vellum. When Beautyrest Black came up, I knew this would be the perfect place to capture the look and feel we wanted. Choosing the right location is crucial. The environment creates the setting for the mood your are attempting to evoke in your audience, and it can also play an important role in giving you gorgeous, natural light.
Stylist Jabe Mabrey shopped loads of gorgeous wardrobe: Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Gucci, Christian Louboutin…amazing! Prop Stylist Katie Hunt created a setting of minimalistic luxury for the product and talent. Atlanta-based Hair and Make-up Artist Stephen Mancuso showed off his incredible talents.
After some long days on set, we ended up with some of the most gorgeous imagery I’ve seen in advertising. It was such a fantastic experience working with Steven Lippman; our entire crew worked together seamlessly. I look forward to the next opportunity to create beautiful imagery together.
Coming up next, I’ll share some of the final imagery with you.
Ciao for now,
So, this post is for Moms, Dads, and anyone who loves sprinkles (or cooks for someone who loves sprinkles). My husband and I started making these festive breakfast pancakes for our girls a couple of years ago. It has become a birthday tradition in our house, and it’s such a cute way to celebrate before the usual rush to get everyone out the door to school or work!
First, make your pancake batter as usual. Our secret to delicious pancakes: add vanilla extract and melted butter to the batter. When your griddle is hot and ready to go, just pour the batter onto the griddle as usual then immediately add the sprinkles, just like this:
Aren’t they cute and festive?!
Then, simply serve them up in a big stack with either syrup, whipped cream, or frosting! My girls love them with frosting, of course. Don’t forget the birthday candles!
This is my littlest on her most recent birthday, just about to dig in!
Ciao for now,
